What is a Non-Invasive Prenatal Paternity Test?

This test is a scientific method to identify a baby’s biological father during pregnancy, in a safe way that does not harm or disturb the fetus.

How Does the Procedure Work?

The testing process is simple and convenient:

1. Initial Consultation

   A consultation is conducted to ensure all parties understand the benefits, limitations, and required consents.

2. Sample Collection

   Mother: A blood sample (around 20 ml) is taken in English. This can be done as early as 7 weeks up to 7 months into the pregnancy.

   Alleged Father: A DNA sample is collected via a buccal swab (inner cheek swab).

3. DNA Analysis

   The samples are sent to a specialized laboratory for analysis using Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) or other verified methods

4. Results & Consultation

   The test results are available within 10–14 working days, with a consultation provided for clear interpretation and discussion.
